Debian lm-sensors receptek
Az lm-sensors konfigurálása a hardver monitorozás "legszöszögősebb" része. A típusfüggő beállításokat a Debian Squeeze előtt a /etc/sensors.conf illetve /etc/sensors3.conf átírásával vagy lecserélésével lehetett érvényesíteni; a Squeeze-ben és utódaiban már külön (overlay, azaz a közös konfigurációs állomány vonatkozó szakaszát felülíró) állományként, a /etc/sensors.d könyvtárba tehetőek.
Az alábbi receptek konkrét gépek (évek alatt összegyűjtött) beállításai; egy-egy közölt recept másik, hasonló alaplapon vagy gépen nem feltétlenül működik helyesen! Ezért a leírtak erős kritikával értékelendők.

Asus P4B
Az SMBus PCI device-t a gyártó alapértelmezésben letiltotta ("ASUS switches off the SMBus PCI Device in the i801 ICH chip. I spoke twice with the German support and learned that: 'We do not want the users to be irritated by just another PCI Device in the Win98 device manager.' Hátrány, hogy a script lefuttatása után nem lehet suspendelni az alaplapot, de ez a funkció szervereken amúgy sem használatos.
A futtatás előtt szükség van a pciutils csomag telepítésére:
